Beautifully descriptive if you like the outdoors. The narration really does vary in quality due to many different narrators but is generally satisfactory. Considering this is free audio, it's pretty good.

interesting, not what i was exspecting

Loved the book. John Muir's beautiful descriptions of the Yosemite Valley before it was overrun with people are enlightening. I understood the narrators were volunteers but there should have been some kind of quality control. One narrator had an electronic whine throughout their chapters. Another, for chapters 8 & 9 did not bother to learn how to say the names of plants and birds. She stumbled through her narration as if she had never read a word of the book before. Maybe she hadn't. Too bad she read the chapters about the plants and birds.

Beautiful description and narrative about the view of the natural park, also the voices are so calm and clear that you can close your eyes and imagine all places very easy.
