Summary
The future has amazing technology. Our alien allies have magic. Together, we are building a training system to teach the best of humanity to go to the stars. But the training is monumentally expensive. Stephanie Morgana is a genius, she just doesn't know it. The artificial intelligence that runs the virtual world is charged with testing Stephanie, a task it has never performed before. Will Stephanie pass the test and be moved to the advanced preparatory schools, or will the system miss her? Will the AI be able to judge a human's potential in an area where it has no existing test data to compare?

“You need to value yourself more than other people do.” This was my first book by the author and I definitely didn’t expected to fall in love with it just as I did. I am pleasantly surprised how much I loved this book! I am really impressed by how brilliant this story was, how amazing and real the characters felt like. Stephanie Morgana the main character was the most kindest, sweetest and bravest character ever, she was lovable and determined to pursue her goals which were truly admirable. The whole concept was so unique and intriguing, it was everything and so much more that I could ever ask for in a sci-fi fantasy novel. It was perfect and would highly recommend for everyone! I look forward to read the next book as soon as possible, I need to know what’s going to happen next! Also the audiobook was excellent as well, the narrator did an amazing job! ✨ Magic ✨ Politics ✨ Virtual world ✨ Aliens

I enjoy this story for the most parts. Bert is easily the best character. There are fun mechanics with the magic and the world building. With that said, some other stories feel not as necessary and I didn't especially enjoy the pop culture stuff. I believe this is definitely worth the listen, but I do not know if there is enough for me to continue to the sequels.
