Unabridged Audiobook
The storyline was interesting to follow and almost came together at the end. The only part of the story that was hard to swallow was the mother supposedly on an island for years. After being so socially active, no reason for this departure was given; like was she forced or voluntarily agreed to this isolation? It was a small part of the entire book, but it asked more questions than answered. One star minus. The second star minus was the reader. I felt she was shouting more than reading. She had good characters but her narrative vocal tone was sharp and not always neutral. It wasn't bad by any means, it just wasn't great to me.
