Wicked as Sin

Fantastic conclusion! I really enjoyed listening to Wicked as Sin, and Wicked Ever After sealed the deal for me! Happy sigh... I really liked Brea and Pierces story and this one picks up after Wicked As Sin but a misunderstanding at the beginning starts the roller-coaster of emotion, drama, and angst. But One-Mile, aka Pierce, is determined in his love and passion for Brea and works to resolve the issues and keep her safe from his tumultuous and dangerous job. Brea is still finding herself but is finding that every day she is a little stronger. I will still say that Pierce is my favorite character in this book!! But i definitely love him WITH brea!! Love to see that they got their happily ever after!! I listened to this audio book, and do i ever have to say that Troy Duran, the narrator, really brought this story to life. I was so engrossed at times, i kept forgetting that i had other things i needed to do as well! Fabulous job!!

I loved this story. Just the right amount of forbidden with a touch of taboo. I ate it up. The narrators were perfect and i closing myself falling for the MMC immediately. I know he’s supposed to be a “bad guy” but he was such a cinnamon roll. Highly recommend this audio!

This is the first book in the Wicked & Devoted Series, and the first part in Pierce "One-Mile" and Brea's story. The storyline is intense, passionate, and enthralling, filled with drama, and twists and turns. Christian Fox did a great job with the narration. I enjoyed this story. I had moments it felt a little too unrealistic to me but overall the story was good. It is left on quite the cliffhanger and I definitely want to continue the story. This was my first by this author so the hints that some of these characters were in previous stories or upcoming stories intrigued me too. I always love a good tie in to another series or story.

The narration by Christian Fox brought this story to life for me. His voices is easy to listen to and he did justice to the characters and the story that Shayla Black wove. There were times that I was on the edge of my seat as the action heated up and there are some parts which were emotional and hard to read as Pierce’s job as a sniper comes in to play. All in all this was a captivating read with strong writing and characters that you cannot help but become invested in. I cannot wait for the conclusion in Wicked Ever After to Pierce and Brea’s story.

Another great series by Shayla Black. I love her writing style. I enjoyed the One Mile and Brea story so much that as soon as I finished the 2nd book, I started it over again. Christian Fox did a wonderful job in book one and even though I'm a Troy Duran fan it was alittle hard to flip from one to the other as the voice of One Mile.

The story jumps around a little bit and you need to listen to the dates yhe author uses to keep track of the timeliness, but overall I love this story and characters. I love how she brings in characters from previous series she wrote, but you do not need to read those series in order to understand this book.
