Why Aren’t Mafiosos More Nervous than They Actually Are?

People who deal with threats by attempting to combat them do not respond to threats by being nervous about them. People who respond to threats not by attempting to combat them, but simply by thinking about them, do get nervous about them. Mafiosos fall into the first category; most other people fall into the second.
