this is a great book... or at least that's the way I heard it...

FINALLY! Someone picked up where Paul Harvey left off, (God rest his soul.) I loved this book. Funny, witty, true, and amazing. Mike could read Lottery ticket numbers and make it interesting. Joan Rivers, a haunted mansion, gameshow hosts... yep, it's in here. Ya gotta read this book.

I got more comfortable with the style as the book went on, and yes, I enjoyed not only the stories of the real life stories of the people Mike profiled, but I enjoyed Mike's personal stories as well. I am glad he was talked into doing it. Writing a book is a ton of work. It is a fun book. Good job.

Last year, I had to to commute from OC to LA at 4am. Thanks to this book I did not want my commute to end!

enjoyable read

Great storytelling! Stories are just long enough and told in such a way as to keep you guessing. I found myself parked, after a long drive, unable to exit my car… until he finished the story. Just what I needed to keep me engaged on a 7 hour drive.

Mike Rowe does a great job with the story telling, in this book. I used to listen to Paul Harvey all the time. I think Mike Rowe does an excellent job of writing and narrating all the stories in this book. I also enjoy his personal stories and his sense of humor. Best book I've listened to in quite some time!!
