Summary
#1 New York Times bestselling author Nora Roberts presents the electrifying conclusion to her powerful Circle Trilogy. Worlds have collided and centuries have elapsed as six people have brought their unique powers, their courage, and their hearts to a battle that could drown humanity in darkness.…Her face, so pale when she’d removed her cloak, had bloomed when her hand had taken the sword. Her eyes, so heavy, so somber, had gone as brilliant as the blade. And had simply sliced through him, keen as a sword, when they’d met his.…In the kingdom of Geall, the scholarly Moira has taken up the sword of her people. Now, as queen, she must prepare her subjects for the greatest battle they will ever fight—against an enemy more vicious than any they have seen. For Lilith, the most powerful vampire in the world, has followed the circle of six through time to Geall.Moira also has a personal score to settle. Vampires killed her mother—and now, she is ready to exact her revenge. But there is one vampire to whom she would trust her soul…Cian was changed by Lilith centuries ago. But now, he stands with the circle. Without hesitation, he will kill others of his kind—and has earned the respect of sorcerer, witch, warrior, and shape-shifter. But he wants more than respect from Moira—even though his desire for her makes him vulnerable. For how can a man with an eternity to live love a woman whose life is sure to end—if not by Lilith’s hand, then by the curse of time?

Keeps your attention. Love Nora Roberts' trilogies and this one did not disappoint me.

One of my favorites! The ending, while somewhat predictable, was one of the best she's written. I loved it!

Not my kind of book. I do not like "make believe" vampires and dragons!!!!

The final book of the trilogy of Morgan's Cross. One of Nora Roberts best series. Well written and excellently read. Elicits a great many emotions from the listener. I had to listen to it three times, I was so entranced by the final book of the series. Thank you Nora.

I really loved this series - sad for it to be over. It was a bit predictable, but really good none the less.

Didn't enjoy the series, didn't even listen to this one after struggling to listen to the others. Not the typical Nora Roberts style. Her writing is excellent, the story is just very, very dark. Not my kind of reading material!

I wouldn't be the first to say Nora Roberts is an excellent writer. She took me through a gamut of emotions with this one. I laughed, cried and felt grief. Excellent series.

I thought it was an excellent ending to this great trilogy. If it didn't have sooo much "love / romance" I would have given it a 5 star....that was a little distracting from the good sci fi story line

I wish I had known this was the second book of a three part story. But nonetheless, it was wonderful. Great story, great characters. Thank you Nora Roberts....I've read part 3 and am anxiously awaiting part 1 to fill in the holes I still have.

This was probably one of the best books I have ever listened to/read. The entire Trilogy was phenomenal and I can't even begin to say how much I loved it. Absolutely gripping!!!

Great is very short word for this book, the third of a trilogy. I sincerely think that a movie make from the Circle Trilogy, if done correctly with the appropiate budget, could be a real hit. I recommend the Circle Trilogy, of course with this smashing ending book -The Valley of Silence- to anyone who love action, adventure, intrigue and the note of romance among the lines of a battle between good and evil.

This book has too many genres packed in one. Celtic/Vampire/Time-Travel/Goddess-Magic. As a result, it reads like a badly conceived TV mini-series that is trying to please multiple genres and in the end pleases none.

I would highly recommend reading/listening to this story in the correct series order. I read Morrigan's Cross first and skipped Dance of the Gods prior to listening to Valley of Silence and I think there is too much of the story missing. Although the books are meant to stand on their own, I really think that with this series, it's necessary to read it in order.
