Summary
A group of politically correct teachers are tasked with creating a Thanksgiving play for their students. They hire a Native American actor to lend authenticity to the proceedings. When it turns out she's ethnically ambiguous the teachers are left to navigate the resulting pitfalls in this rich satire. Includes a conversation with playwright Larissa FastHorse.

I hated this play. I'd planned to read it for ages and it was just so disappointing. Brief premise is "woke is bad", framed by teachers doing a Thanksgiving play. It's meant to be satire but it's so blindingly obvious and unfunny that it's just sad. This audiobook version highlights that FastHorse got a MacArthur Genius Grant, and if this is the quality of their work, god only knows why. The actual performance of the piece was pretty good, it was just a shame they were performing this.
