Unabridged Audiobook
Narration was good but the book was a bit trite. Nancy Thayer’s books are a bit like that, I find - some much better than others. I found the main character, Keely, rather unlikeable, and didn’t believe in the “deep friendship” with her friend. To me they were both rather selfish! But I love the setting of Nantucket even though I’ve never been, but was lucky enough to visit Martha’s Vineyard and so will always remember the sunshine and prettiness of the islands and those journeys from Hyannis. For that reason I’ll still read and listen to Nancy Thayer as she transports me back!
Lovely
Enjoyed listening to this book. Made me what to take a trip to Nantucket.
It was a great book but predictable The narrator was really good. I liked how she made each persons voice sound different.
I loved the story! There were points when I smiled while listening. The voice used for Keely sounded like a child's voice throughout the story and that was a little distracting.
The story was extremely long to end up with a predictable ending. Keely’s Mother was clinically depressed yet it seemed the only treatment she needed was for her daughter to come home. And the main characters went to an animal shelter but walked away from a dog that was bonding with her.
The book was okay. I didn't enjoy the voice of the narrator at all.
