Unabridged Audiobook
Yes…an epic adventure, keeps you moving. A good story line. Heavy on the ‘humans destroyed the environment’ theme which gets old fast. Swearing/foul language where it’s not necessary. Unfortunately the narrator is unable to modify her voice to cover all the characters, so sometimes you are not sure who is speaking.
I enjoyed the narration by Rebecca Norfolk, although, at times, I had to rewind a little to figure out which character was speaking. I thought the story line was pretty good but a little difficult to follow at times and sometimes a little difficult to understand why it made some of the turns it made. I thought the ending was a little ridiculous but had some interesting pieces. it was a little difficult for me to stay interested at times but I pushed through. Glad I did though. I wouldn't listen to it a second time but I am not sorry about listening to it at least this once.
If the many inconsistencies in this narrative were fixed, the whole story would unravel, the plot would crumble, and this book wouldn’t exist. The final confrontation is ludicrous. The resolution at the end is equally absurd. I kinda wish I hadn’t downloaded this book, glad I didn’t pay for it.
Action packed sci-fi with a likeable heroine & ship. Some interesting concepts some with traces of other sci-fi & horror worlds. Thankfully there was a happy ending but not quite the one I’d anticipated & wanted.
Don’t be like me and think the first couple minutes sounds super interesting because the rest of the book is terribly boring and hard to stay interested in this book took me 2 weeks to finish could only listen for a few minutes before i had to shut it off an do something else. Narrator means well doesn’t help the book at all though.
Compelling story.
