Summary
Speaker for the Dead, the second novel in Orson Scott Card's The Ender Saga, is the winner of the 1986 Nebula Award for Best Novel and the 1987 Hugo Award for Best Novel.

In the aftermath of his terrible war, Ender Wiggin disappeared, and a powerful voice arose: The Speaker for the Dead, who told the true story of the Bugger War.

Now, long years later, a second alien race has been discovered, but again the aliens' ways are strange and frightening...again, humans die. And it is only the Speaker for the Dead, who is also Ender Wiggin the Xenocide, who has the courage to confront the mystery...and the truth.

most annoying audio book yet. the multiple readers is beyond stupid. which makes it very difficult to learn the new characters

I definitely enjoyed this book. The only thing that I dislike about was the constant changing of the narraters and the volume of the voices.

For those coming from Ender’s game, this is a very different type of book. It is good and thought provoking but is slow moving at times. I am curious enough to keep going in the series.

the narrative cast of all the Enderverse series are so talented. I started searching for books by narrator because of voices like stefan rudnicki and stephen hoye. this novel is better than Ender's Game.

Initial reaction was disappointment, confusion, and curiosity. This isn’t Enders Game. Why is everyone speaking Portuguese? What the hell is going so much is happening and I don’t really get. But damn dude I found myself unable to put this down i finished it in 3 days staying up till 1:30 am wanting to see what happened next. It’s not Enders Game but it’s really good , and now I know how to speak Portuguese! I’m kidding, but they do translate from Portuguese here and there and it actually flows pretty well. Anyway good book I’d recommend to a friend.

If you like Enders Game, you will hate this. it's very slow paced with little to look forward to. The reader is very average. would not suggest this book.

Incredible book. In my personal opinion, the best of the Ender series. I would also like to comment on the fabulous job done by each narrator. Grateful for the opportunity to revisit this story.

I enjoyed the primary narrator from Ender's Game being one of the narrator's in this book. I feel this one was definitely geared more towards adults than kids. Has a good story but I definitely prefer the first book.

I hate the fact that they use several narrators. They switch for no reason to a different narrator. It is awful.

Good book. Once started didn't want to stop. The listening to a book allows my own imagination to put together the features of all the characters whether human or alien. The human factor always seems to be the destructive. Ender brought to the the surface the truth that allows more than one idea of thought and the ability to live with others as they are not how the laws deem fit. To live in such a time and place one could only hope. The audio has some echo but only in a few places

I am not a book person by nature and normally prefer non-fiction. This book was a captivating introduction to non-fiction. Regretfully so, it's no surprised the “average joe” doesn’t appreciate, or more likely doesn’t understand the complex relationships and ideas presented by the author. Without the prequel, there would have been no way to truly understand the protagonist. Thank you.

Boring Book, not as interesting as Enders series books.
