Unabridged Audiobook
I liked the narrators but the story was annoying - the big secret they kept Kallie and Jacob apart was so over wrought at times. I kept listening because I liked the Jacob character.
The female character in this story was blamed for something that was never her fault. The story line continued with guilt and shame targeting the female for the male character’s stupid decision. This relationship is messed up on so many levels.
I nearly didn’t finish this. Years of anguish and sorrow over a misunderstanding that really isn’t believable. Who’s “best friend” is that selfish and horrible. Ethan’s mom is legit the worst person on the planet. I’m sure other people like it, just not my type. It has redeeming qualities, it ends sweet and there are parts and characters that are lol funny. I guess you have to read the second book to get the actual climax.
Excellent love story! Story shows how protecting someone else's interests nearly destroyed Jacob and Callie's lives forever. But a second chance at live restored the love that was lost and a chance to rebuild made their love stronger, happier than before.
