Excellent Listen. Each chapter takes you closer to your hit song. Less " song examples" and more writing information would be my only gripe. All in All, a great listen for the budding songwriter. A+

Great intro to music theory I enjoyed listening this as a pianist but it's great for any instrumentalist or aspiring composer. I love how rational its layout was. I would have liked an earlier treatment of the difference between major (4 s) and minor (3 s) thirds as they are so crucial to understanding scales and chords. Thanks!
Recommended The book clearly met my expectations. It is an exhaustive yet simple introduction to music theory. I'm a working professional getting back into music. I used this book as a primer to remind me of all the things I had forgotten. Good for anyone who needs a refresher course.
