Unabridged Audiobook
The abridged version, narrated by Ron McClarty was an exceptional listening experience - however; the unabridged version was flat. The narrator obviously was not the right person for this particular assignment. Get the abridged version !
Loved this book! Love the King and Maxwell series! Having an interest in psychology as well as mystery/detective novels, I really enjoyed the in depth personal analysis of Michelle Maxwell and the relationship between she and Sean King, from a psychological perspective. The overall story was complex, but very fascinating. As usual, Baldacci leaves you on the edge of your seat until the very last....good read! I also enjoyed the narration, Brick is talented!
Conclusion of the story was busy. Could have been presented better.
Excellent job done by the narrator. What a gripping story! It was a bit slow to start but the pace really picked up! I feel it's the best one of the series so far.
Great book. Kept me interested right to the end.
I enjoyed the book and the narrator.
Storyline was kinda slow moving.
Love this series and Scott Brick is one f my favorite narrators.
Great fast paced read. Scott Brick is my favorite narrator. His rear of this book is one of my favorite books of the series so far.
This is an interesting book however not great. The narration was poor. I would not recommend this one.
I really enjoyed this book. The mix of historical overtones with a twisting plot made this one of Baldacci's best.
Very good from beginning to end. Kept you on edge through out the entire book.
The story rambles quite a bit...too disjointed and not a few logical leaps in the plot. The "typing up of loose ends" at the end of the story seems rather contrived. I really like Scott Brick's reading, but that can't justify a recommendation of this title. If you're a die-hard Baldacci fan, then I suppose it's worth a look.
This was a good book, even a really good one. So why a 2? Well a large part of that is narrator. I felt like this guy was condescending to me from page one. He is awful. His changes from male to female are barely noticable, his dialects are awful. The story was good enough to keep me listening, great characters, good plot . . . but this narrator was the worst!
After many turns and twists in the plot, it finally ended with me wanting more... What will happen next?
Halfway through and so far, I'm intrigued by the story as well as characters. Scott Brick's narration brings Sean King to life for me and lends credibility to the subject matter. Can't wait to get my hands on another Baldacci book - I dig the man's style.
