Enjoyed this a lot

Excellent narration of an excellent work, at times slow, though most likely due to the complexity of the material, nonetheless it doesn't take away from the quality.

The Silmarillion is stunning and it adds so much more to the already expansive world of J.R.R.

I love Tolkeins works but found this one quite hard going. Similarly, I have a lot of respect for Andy Serkis, but felt in this case he was performing a sermon.

So good this book and I love that the narrator is Andy Serkis! Great to know more details about the hobbit, the lord of the rings and what happens before. It's perfect that it's Andy Serkis that gets to narrate it who's in the hobbit and the lord of the rings movies. So good. I hope he gets to narrate the lord of the rings audible books in the future.

my favorite fantasy, brilliantly told with the many voices of Andy Serkis. For previous listeners like myself, there is a lot of enjoyment to be gained by listening to this new version

Tried to follow along mentally when the map locations were being described. Can visualize mentally for a while but I ran out of white paper. Couldn’t grasp the whole layout of the map. Better to have a physical map then follow along. History is not my forte but it was an interesting dialogue. I like stories better. Keeps me entertained. Glad I got the book just wasn’t all that impressed by it. Loved the narrator. I am a fan of his since Caesar series. Didn’t realize he voiced gollum in Lord if the Rings.
