Unabridged Audiobook
After reading reviews on this book, I was very nervous to read it. It did take me a while to get into the story, especially since I was so used to hearing another voice in the narration. Jenny’s dialect was hard to understand, however, after a few chapters, I started to get used to and accept her way of speaking. After I got into this book, I couldn’t put it down! Turner is a despicable person who went through a tragedy that left him broken. This was well worth the read when you get to the last chapter. This book contains one of the best lines written for a hero in all of Julia Quinn’s novels.
The most amazing thing about this book, is that other people seem to like it. This is a one-dimensional examination of the relationship between one woman and one man, and yet it subtly doesn’t even seem to get that right. It’s more like a caricature of the human mating ritual, as the female mind wishes it to be. If fiction is supposed to expose the meta-truth through narrative, this effort falls flat on its face. There is little truth. What there is seems to be psychological pornography for the female psyche.
I liked it but it took me a minute to get use to the narrator
It’s a great book and really enjoy it
Enjoyed. Me Miranda is get on my nerves just a little. Overall great
A nice love story with a great heroine but a few loose ends.
People who dont like this story must be miserable.
romance as always & we find out who Miss Wistledown is.
I could not listen to this book because of the poor narrating. It was read very monotone, there was no emotion in the voice not to mention the voice was not of a pleasant quality.
