This is very well written and, in my opinion, should be required reading for anyone going into the mental health field or social working field. A great reference guide as well. 5 stars!!!

This is a great book that I think anyone who knows someone with mental illness (especially schizophrenia) or addiction issues should read. It’s an amazing true story of a mother’s never-ending love for her children. Grab your tissues…you’ll definitely need them!

This book is a true triumph of the human condition as it relates to the love we have for family, and brilliantly documents the lengths that we will go through to protect our loved ones. The author's prose is informative and tragic without being morose and overwhelming. The author doesn't attempt to force her pain and trauma onto the reader; instead, she skillfully guides the reader through her everyday life of dealing with the issue of mental illness in someone she would give her very life for.
