Unabridged Audiobook
Roughing the Kicker was a sweet friends to lovers sports romance. Tenley and Jackson had been best friends since high school and have developed a close relationship throughout the years. Tenley has always had feelings for Jackson and steps up for him and helps him with his injury after his girlfriend wouldn’t. I loved watching Tenley and Jackson friendship seamlessly turn into so much more once he finally saw what he had in front of him and I loved that she was supportive of his career when he wasn’t used to that from his ex. I did want to knock Jackson upside his head at one point but I loved watching these two find their happy ending. Rose Dioro and Teddy Hamilton narrated this audio, I had originally read this story and loved hearing them voice Tenley and Jackson. Rose was the perfect choice for Tenley, she did amazing bringing her sweet and caring personality to life. Teddy did amazing bringing Jackson grumpy and determined persona to life. Both were excellent performances! I am looking forward to listening to these two voice the rest of the Denver Mountain Lions series!
Story: 8/10 Spice: 2/5 Narration: 4/5 Spice Hierarchy: Open Door Jackson and Tenley have been friends for years. But in all those years, Tenley has had a crush on Jackson. When Jackson is injured during football he needs someone to come help him. His girlfriend finds it too bothersome but Tenley shows up for Jackson. As they spend time together in such close proximity, Jackson begins to notice more about Tenley. What’s not to love about Teddy Hamilton’s voice? He can do it all. I think this is the first audiobook I have heard with Rose Dioro. She was perfect for Tenley.
