What in the world did I just listen to? Oh my god, this is why I hate books written by men. The fact that he’s making all the sound effects? Like whyyyyyy????? If I got paid a million to listen to this book I would simply refuse. Mind you I stopped at 00:2:18.

This book had so many twists and turns, I truly enjoyed it and could picture actor Idris Elba as Xavier. Truly and awesome science fiction story and excellent message included. Thank you.

couldn't get very far, it was more beatbox sound effects than story.

If you want to get bored beyond any imaginable way this is the book for you, the narrator (who happens to be the author) dares to portray everything to detail (even sounds) .. snoozing this one ! DONT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS!

The book was very amusing and a work I can't think of to describe it. At first I poot it on sleep mode, but never fell asleep. As he read more into it I was more and more interested, as to why I couldn't sleep. I say nothing about the book so the following listeners can be surprised on how amazing it truly is. The man's voice was very calming and a good fit fore this book. I enjoy the explosion sound the most instead of just saying the word that was most likely there. Overall everything was amazing and a very exciting story I will list to the others and hope for the best.

The noises break any forms intrigue in the plotline. It simply is too much! Just read with some sentiment, and you are good to go!

I got 16 minutes in before the obnoxious and continued sound effects and droning voice of the narrator/author forced me to turn it off. It’s too bad. It’s probably a good story.

like the voice but not all the sound effects, makes the story confused. leave somethings to the imagination.

noo no no nope, no, he'll no. dude spits into the mix and hocks a loogie saying it's the soundeffect for radio static.. im out made it less then 60 secs

Dispite the story of this book.i lost my interest from the first place bcz of those sound effects that he try to make those scenece.bcz of this is a time travel book i was so interest before.but now i don't no.may be like 0.000001 day that i left my interest to read I'll continue read this. this is not a bad review.this is also not about the story.but the sound effect. hope you'll get it.

Loved it. Sound effects, narrator (style and timbre) and story line and presentation.

Very good story , spoiled somewhat by the silly sound effects. I nearly turned it off a couple of times as the sounds got so annoying. I kept coming back to it after a break and managed to listen all the way through. Maybe it could be read again without the childish noises
