Summary
A witch without magic. A vampire without a cause. And a mysterious death that brings them under the same roof.

When I learn I've inherited a house in Salem, I'm sure it's a mistake. Besides, I have zero desire to return to a town where I'm an outcast.

The surprises continue when I meet my tenants, including a broody vampire and a foodie wolf shifter.

But I'm only staying around long enough to sell my long lost aunt's house.

Even when they convince me to go to a Halloween ball. Even when I agree to pretend to be the vampire's girlfriend. Even when I discover his softer and oh-so-sexier side.

Because a witch without magic in Salem makes as much sense as a pig with wings. And I've never seen one fly.

Contains mature themes.

Interesting and attention keeping story with likable characters. Good start to the series with this talentless (but is she?) witch drawn back to her childhood home town by family affairs. With romance, (be warned graffic sex scenes, ) hanky panky and making friends this girl has a busy couple of weeks. The narration is pretty good, easy to listen to, just a couple of blips with male/female voices.

When Nova's Aunt dies, she inherits an house and it's tenant's in Salem. Nova is a witch without magic, but since her Aunts death thing seem to be changing. This is a great story the characters are very likable and I was invested in the out come. I look forward to reading and listening to more in this series. The narrators do an excellent job.

I received this audiobook in exchange for an honest review. I I'm new to this particular genre of book and I loved it I'm so happy I gave it a try. Rebel Spell #1 in Salem Supernaturals series, written by Lisa Carlisle, narrated by Javi Wilder and Cynthia Farrell . This audiobook is definitely worth your time and credit. Nova a witch without magic who moves away from Salem to New York who later she inherits a house from her Aunt in Salem so she goes back to Salem the place she never planned on returning to a place where she's an outcast. She travels back to Salem to get her inheritance in order and sell her Aunts house and was surprised by her unique tenants a vampire, a wolf shifter chef, and a dragon. And now she can access her magical abilities, Witches are starting to get murdered and she's developing feelings for her vampire tenant. this story gets really interesting you're going to love it. I cannot wait for the next story I'm hooked.

My review is written voluntarily after listening to the audio version of this book narrated by Javi Wilder and Cynthia Farrell. They did a wonderful job bringing the character to life. I own the eBook and enjoyed reading it but listening to this book lifted the story to a whole new level. Nova a witch with no magical abilities to speak of has left her hometown of Salem and now lives as a mundane in New York working two jobs, one at a children’s publishing house and the other as a waitress in a diner neither of which give her any feeling of satisfaction. She has no intention of ever returning to Salem that is until she receives news that her aunt, Margaret Goodwell, has died and left Nova her estate including her house which has some unusual tenants, Sabastian a wolf shifter who's a chef, Diego a vampire who works at a healing centre and Lucas a half-dragon stripper. Nova has no idea what she'll do with her inheritance or the tenants when she travels to Salem to sort everything out. But then everything changes when she discovers that she can now access her magic and she begins to have feelings for Diego. But when witches start being murdered and she learns that perhaps her aunt was one of them she knows she should do what she can to get to the bottom of the mystery. But will she sell everything and go back to New York? Or should she stay and try to find out just how her Aunt Margaret died? This is an entertaining fun story it's well-written and has some fascinating characters including Witches, Vampires, Shifters, a Demon, and a Half-Siren. I look forward to listening to the rest of the books in this series and hope they will be available soon.
