The author has done an impressive amount of research and blends it beautifully with fictional and real characters. I love the authors notes at the end of each book that delineates the historical vs. fictional. I actually just finished Viper also. Highly recommend every book in this series so far. Narrator does a good job.

The books are intriguing and I love Scottish history but if your just looking for hot romance there is not a lot of that. Once again I am very impressed with the historical studying that went into this book.
