This was a super-fun, super-glossy and well-executed sports romance. The characters were beautifully defined and their struggles rang true. Spice was sensitively portrayed yet still packaged in a way to maximise appeal to mainstream MM readers. A real crowd pleaser.

4 stars Lovely story, the characters were amazing: a NFL handsome bisexual quarterback, Alex, divorced with two kids and a first grade gay amazing teacher, Cristian, who have a meet cute at the beach. Their chemistry is instant and love follows almost immediately (maybe too immediately). The problem is, Alex is not out and that leads to a devastating heartbreak for both of them. I liked how Alex tried to win Cristian back, I liked the side characters, especially Aiden, Marcus and the Coach, I liked Alex and Cristian relationship and how they were able to communicate honestly and openly with each other and I particularly appreciated that there wasn't a forced outing. I loved both the narrators: they're so passionate and they really brought Alex and Christian to life. Very recommended.

Christian and Alex’s storyline was fantastic! The ex sure made me see red at one point. I do believe the second time on the beach was so moving!

oh my gosh it was actually so cute. I loved it. This story is so precious. Full Lifetime/Hallmark vibes because it’s so low-angst and so cute and schmooshy romantic. Christian is the CUTEST 1st grade teacher and Alex is the dreamiest 6’5” single father QB, not to mention the most romantic. I noticed a reviewer called it cheesy but I wanna say that this story just embraces being cute and romantic in a really low-angst hallmark way which some people find cheesy but I totes just found it romantic and adorable. But don’t let that fool you, there’s TONS of open door bedroom scenes that are spicy AF and I loved every second. (And the narrators were AMAZING!) Overall I’d DEFINITELY listen to it again as a comfort read!

Loved This Book This is such a great book. It's got its sweet parts, funny parts, sad parts and some laugh out loud parts. I really enjoyed reading it. I can't wait for book 2. Update: I enjoyed listening to this one just as much as reading it. The narration by Alexander Cendese and JF Harding was so good. I received an ARC and this is my unbiased opinion

As part of my review of The Dreamboat on Friday (definitely check it out) I suggested that readers should start with The Quarterback Keeper book 1 in the Package Deal series. Over the weekend, I had the joy of rereading The Quarterback Keeper, this time as an audiobook. The dual narrated audiobook was a perfect way to revisit where this world began. Alex and Christians love story is where I first fell in love with sports romance. Things I loved ⛱️ Beach Meet Cute

Imagine meeting the love of your life and falling in love in a week. That is what happens in this book. But then imagine that your career, family and life make you choose and you choose wrong Alex is the star quarterback of the Portland Football team and he meets Christian a first grade teacher at the beach, they fall hard and fast. But coming back to the real world Alex has to make a choice and chooses everything else but his own happiness with Christian. But life has a way of putting people together and Christian two months later becomes Alex’s son’s first grade teacher. This was a wonderful first book in the series and loved the narrator’s work. They were amazingly expressive and original. I am looking forward to listening to the rest of the series. I love the authors work and always look forward to new books.
