Unabridged Audiobook
I have sincerely enjoyed Alex Berenson’s books and was very much looking forward to this new one. Unfortunately, I found it to be disappointing. While I traditionally enjoy having deep character backstories developed throughout the novel, I found this one to be a bit much. The novel revolves around one traumatic event to a member of the main characters family. It quickly becomes a complete backstory as we delve into all aspects of the families past, losing sight of the bigger picture and thus my attention and interest. I found it to be slow, difficult to follow and ultimately even more difficult to finish. He has other great published works and I would skip this one and focus on his others.
