Not my favorite from Ken Follett. Predictable and not as complex as his other books.

Great book. Ken Follett is always a good read and Simon Prebble does an amazing job narrating the book / bring it to life. I would recommend this audio book highly.

Absolutely a great listen

The story is pretty good, narrator was average. This was just a ho-hum experience.

Follett never disappoints. Maybe a bit predictable but even so I enjoyed listening to it.

Follett fan from Eye of the Needle era....Night Over Water, etc. but lost Interest with most recent work until now. Enjoyed this novel and really good narration rendered a great selection.

I enjoy historical fiction. I liked the characters. It did have more romance than history.

Described as historical fiction. Should have been described as historical romance. It could have been a pretty good read if all the clunky clumsy sex stuff had been edited out.

Another engaging historical story from Ken Follett. If you love Ken's books this will not disappoint as it gives you the usual good guy/bad guys, and of course, the love story that is woven throughout. The narration is fantastic, Simon Prebble makes you feel like your right there in 1700's England and makes each character come alive.

Great story Really enjoyed it! Ken has a way of making you feel like you are in the coal mines with the character and everywhere else the story takes you! Only negative would be a bit to descriptive with the sexual content!

I've always enjoyed Ken Follett's writing and this book is no exception. Great characters and interesting plot. As one reviewer commented, it's not as complex as some of his other works but enjoyable nevertheless!

Ken Follett never fails to entertain and what a journey he takes us on this time. Great story great story teller.

Not one of Ken Follett's best - in fact a lot of it did not read like a Follett book.

I love all of his books but this one was alittle slow moving. I hope to enjoy more of his books soon.

This was a quick read compared to some of Follet's other works, but it was enjoyable. The narrator did a wonderful job.

Great read, just like all his others! I have read everything I could find written by this author, and all of his books are great.
