Summary
Are you afraid of the dark?
They weren't.
They've adapted to it.

The world has changed beyond all recognition. Six years ago an unknown and dangerous virus left humanity blind. The world is doomed to an eternity in total darkness.

People have adjusted as best they can, adjusting their senses to the new reality; phones have echolocation instead of large screens, cars are self-driven and radio killed the TV.

But when a dead body is found in the city, the clues indicate that the killer must be a person who can see…

In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king. And he has only started his killing spree.

Great work here. Interesting story, good pacing. Slight predictability in plot and some near anti-climactic build-up’s are overcome by stellar characters and fascinating, yet believable motivations and actions.

Pretty interesting concept, and the prose conveyed the feel of the theme quite well, but the plotting and story were only decent, and the ending fell a bit flat.

great concept and I was hooked however half way through the listen I lost track of characters and who spoke what. Might be worth reading in book form rather than audio. Narrator was really good

Eghhhh book wasn’t so easy to follow. The concept of the book was what made me want to listen to it, but wasn’t to my satisfaction. Narrator didn’t really change voices for the different characters which also made it confusing on who was talking. Also had a lot of profanity, overall Not my cup of tea.

This book really was not my cup of tea. I also did not like the narrator too much. Most annoying was the totally unnecessary swearing woven into the text.

This book has an interesting concept and benefits from excellent narration. The author certainly created a fascinating world that could have been explored further, and the ending was somewhat predictable.

Perhaps I didn’t like it because it’s not my usual genre choice. It has a similar feel to George Orwell’s 1984. They had a lot of similarities, but I liked 1984 much better. This was a little slow-going.
