Summary
“A masterpiece of thriller and mystery! The author did a magnificent job developing characters with a psychological side that is so well described that we feel inside their minds, follow their fears and cheer for their success. The plot is very intelligent and will keep you entertained throughout the book. Full of twists, this book will keep you awake until the turn of the last page.”

This is a very short story almost seems like it should be the first chapter of a book but it was a good enough story. However, the narrator was terrible in my opinion. If this was a movie she would be the worst over actor ever. And why is a British actress narrating a story that took place in Atlanta?

quite nice discovering an early John Milton.

This seems very much like a small portion of a book and not a short story. It jumped around a bit and wasn't fulfilling. Quite disappointing.

Even for being a short story, it didn't feel like there was a conclusion. However it does make me want to listen to more, so kudos for reeling me in.

Good scene setter.

I was not happy with the 1st book „Once Gone“ because I usually do not read or listen to books about torchered, silly women, getting themselves into trouble because they run off without backup. Still, I am happy that I listened to this short story, because it seemed that the woman did have some insight into her foolishness. Still, this genre is not for, however well written and well narrated. The narration was clear and well pronounced.

I couldn’t get past the idea that she is speaking to a room of FBI recruits, and is quoting the infamous “”abyss” statement, and they all are shocked by it. The talk of a serial killer they don’t know?? Give me a break. Any first year psych student has heard that ... or ever watch a crime show on tv??? If they are THAT far into this career in law enforcement, they aren’t anything like they were described.
