I have found rock bottom: moving in with my older brother because I’m too broke to afford to live on my own. It’s okay though, because we’ve always been close and I think I’m going to have fun living with him again. That is, until I meet Cooper… Turns out, my brother has very strong opinions on the idea of me dating his best friend—he’s dead set against it. According to him, Cooper is everything I should stay away from: flirtatious, adventurous, non-committal, and freaking hot. (I added that last part because I feel like you need the whole picture.) My brother is right—I should stay away from Cooper James and his pretty blue eyes. He’s the opposite of what I need right now. Nah—who am I kidding? I’m going for it. The Off Limits Rule is a closed-door romance, perfect for anyone who loves lots of sizzle but no explicit content.

This book!!!! I absolutely LOVED this book! I related a lot with the main character and girl best friend. The book is like a rom com and the chemistry between the two main characters *muah* absolutely off the chain! If you’re looking for a book that’s not to explicit this is a good read! I will say that the voice for the male narrator wasn’t my favorite. His voice was a little to old sounding but you get used to it after a while.

I decided to give this book a try and I'm glad I did! It was like one of those old Rom Com movies that you actually laugh out loud when you're watching. I found the funny embarrassing moments and Lucy's character to be relatable and hilarious. I normally prefer faith based historical fiction romance, so I was pleased that this book didn't go over the top with raunchy detailed sex scenes. I plan to look up more books by the author and to read the 2nd book in this series.

Had a great plot to capture your attention and was a great build up but failed to deliver partially because it was too rushed and undeveloped towards the end. Found Lucy’s character quite irritating at times too given we were referring about an almost 30 year old with a kid… it’s one thing to give quirkiness to a character, but it’s another to make it their entire personality.
