Summary
From the bestselling author of Atonement, Nutshell is a classic story of murder and deceit, told by a narrator with a perspective and voice unlike any in recent literature. A bravura performance, it is the finest recent work from a true master. To be bound in a nutshell, see the world in two inches of ivory, in a grain of sand. Why not, when all of literature, all of art, of human endeavour is just a speck in the universe of possible things.

Are you a fan of Vogon poetry? Then you'll love this book. The narrator is this strangely pretentious British fetus who seems to get his knowledge from podcasts which leads to some weird political rants. It gets more heavily littered by adult scenes which are also disturbingly told by the fetus. I was describing this to my gf who hilariously pointed out the similarities of Stewy from family guy. I get what he was trying to do but it was a dull and grotesque adventure that I wouldn't have signed up for if I'd known the particulars.

I thought the narration somewhat gimmicky at first, but ended up enjoying the pretense of an slightly inebriated, fetus with a sense of humor telling the tale as it unfolds. Probably not for everyone, but I enjoyed the short listen.
