There’s some really neat information in this book, but to get to the gems, you have to sift through the author’s racist point of view. There’s also fatphobia? In a book about nature?? I really wanted to listen to the nature facts and studies, but the author just made me so uncomfortable i had to stop.

I used my VIP credit for this book, and I am so glad they did. This book has a lot of small ideas I can easily incorporate into my daily life. I understand why I like being outside and hiking so much more now. I am mindful of the ambient sounds of birds chirping. This book encouraged me to appreciate birds a lot more and what they have to offer the world and even, to be selfish, what birds have to offer me. I love this book and I recommend it to people looking to get more fulfillment and joy from life.
