Unabridged Audiobook
I bought this book thinking it was going to be a recounting of Native American women's culture, like how they lived on a daily basis. That's not what it is. It's more of a college study. It reads like a post-doctorate paper, which was a surprise, a pleasant surprise. This book covers how Native American women's lives have been affected by their colonization of them and how they view the changes. It discusses why they hold feminist views but do not consider themselves feminists. It's an eye-opener. Just when I thought I knew something about Native American women, I was shown how shallow my understanding is.
