This was a pleasure to listen to, it’s the type of audiobook that had me parked in my driveway to finish listening to the story being told. Classic tales told in modern tongue. I highly recommend!!!

This is a brilliant book! It made my daughter really interested in Greek mythology. I think it should be used as a textbook in our school system. Stephen is an amazing narrator as usual.

This book doesn’t explain the myths or make you examine their symbolism. It simply tells the stories with a modern sensibility and sense of humor. By far the best presentation of Greek myths I have ever read.

Wonderfully written and read. Stephen Fry, I FEEL, is a marvelous orator, and he wrote these classic Greek myths to fit his style of storytelling. While 5 stars, I know others might not find it to be perfect. However, to me, it feels like how I would describe Tolkien's The Hobbit, a digestible Fairy Tale. Fry reads his stories in his relatable way while giving breaks so the listener can stop very frequent points, but this never stops him from being interesting as well as fresh in his take on these well-known stories. If I can give ANY suggestion, listen to the reading at around 1.25 speed because sometimes, it can feel a little slow with his cadence. Other than that, listen to his stories and enjoy the riveting adventures of the Greek gods that are as timeless now as they ever were.

I am a fan of all mythical Zeus ingused stories, Ive heard and seen them all. I enjoyed the introduction of how the Gods began and how life vegan on earth and where modern names of things came from. This book is fun and the person who spoke, his voice didnt annoy me once, i loved it!
