Unabridged Audiobook
Very nice story. Well worded as well as descriptively written.
It was a great short story. However the read of the narrator had no variation making it difficult to tell the differences between the characters.
Amazing and interesting
This book was very entertaining, especially since it is a well written short story.
The narrator sounds a bit automated but was otherwise clear.
The story itself is wonderful but the narration is terrible! If you want to hear the absolute best narration that you'll ever hear of this, go onto YouTube and look for the one which is narrated by Greg Wagland! He has a magical way of bringing this story to life along with different voices for each of the characters. I'd definitely give his version of this absolutely top marks!
A good and easy listen. Very visual. Inspiring.
I loved it!
Bad reader. Very boring voice. Sounds too robotic.
A charming story, yet sinister!
Interesting. Wells story, for sure.
Grate, fun , short story
Good short story
Goodshort story
Fun!
The story is quite interesting.
The reader's monotonous voice and American accent made it hard for me to follow the narrative. I'm sure the story would have been enjoyable otherwise. Why can't English stories be delivered with an English accent? Over here, if I hear an American tale it is almost invariably read with an American accent.
absolutely wonderful short story, very engaging and absorbing with the descriptions given in the ability to almost see the story from the angle of not just the father but of also the son. the narrator is one of the best I've had the privilege of listening to through this service.
Very interesting story. Although there is a lot of build up for nothing to happen in the end. It’s a bit unfulfilling in that way.
Beautiful short story , narrated really well. I totally enjoyed it.
Story was nice but the narrators was boring
What a clever story, love the way it leaves a lot open to the imagination.
A very well written and playful short story. I thoroughly enjoyed this intro to HG Wells! Suitable for all ages over about 8 yrs old.
The mind of H. G. Wells is brilliant.
Nice light read.
This is a great short story. Of course I do think "War of the Worlds" is a classic science fiction novel.
I loved it. A magical ride, very descriptive writing and I was happy with the narrator's delivery.
Not a lot happens really
