THE #1 WORLDWIDE BESTSELLER FROM THE ICONIC AUTHOR OF THE DA VINCI CODE

“Impossible to put down.” —The New York Times

“Thrilling and entertaining, like the experience on a roller coaster.” —Los Angeles Times

Famed Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon answers an unexpected summons to deliver a lecture at the U.S. Capitol Building. His plans are interrupted when a disturbing object—artfully encoded with five symbols—is discovered in the building. Langdon recognizes in the find an ancient invitation into a lost world of esoteric, potentially dangerous wisdom.

When his mentor, Peter Solomon—a long-standing Mason and beloved philanthropist—is kidnapped, Langdon realizes that the only way to save Solomon is to accept the mystical invitation and plunge headlong into a clandestine world of Masonic secrets, hidden history, and one inconceivable truth . . . all under the watchful eye of a terrifying enemy.

Robert Langdon returns in Inferno, Origin, and The Secret of Secrets (coming soon)!

Should have listened to the abridged version. it was okay...typical Dan Brown. Was neat to have it take place in DC since i live in that area

Loved the Da Vinci Code and Angels and Demons, but this one, to me, is even better! Great plot twists and a thought-provoking ending. Paul Mitchell did a fabulous job narrating!

Hard to believe the Masonic brotherhood is so laden with sinister and cryptic mumbo jumbo! And the tortuous trail of obscure symbols which Langdon had to decipher in this one was WAY over the top in terms of believability! I loved Angels and Demons and liked the DaVinci Code, but this one lost me. I have about an hour left to go on the Audio book but I'm not sure I even want to finish it. The "bad guy" has been finally eliminated but now we seem to be in for a long rant on esoteric philosophy.

The beginning was boring but it got more fun as it went on. Just not as good as "Da Vinci Code" or "Angels and Demons" but still good. Paul Michael is the best

Great Story and did not disappoint.

Not my fav Dan Brown novel. I like the Freemason stuff (I am a mason) and it kept my attention but his other books were better. Narrator was excellent.

My first Dan Brown book. I love his interesting takes on the subject matter and his plot twists.

This is not as good as da vinci code or Angels And Demons. Character development was not good and the story was not believable. It was a great reading however, the narrator has a commanding tone and uses different voices for each character. It just the overall content was lacking.
