This is an excellent story with easy to listen to narration. The characters are convincing and you follow them for decades, making them very real.

The book will not disappoint anyone with an interest in the holocaust. Album is simply a great writer.

Good story but the subject is still heart wrenching.

This book contains a lot of painful and uncomfortable subject matter, albeit it was very moving. The ending surprised me, and shattered my heart in so many ways. I was reminded of a lot of things I did not remember from childhood teachings... I’m so heartbroken for all the lives that were stolen from our planet and the unspeakable horrors they suffered during the holocaust. It's so important to remember these people, what happened to them, and honor their lives by bringing them to the forefront again. Thank you Mitch for doing just that. Narration, performed by the author, was perfect. This book is a must listen... You will not regret it. History has a way of repeating itself, so we must learn from the past and then never forget, so we may prevent this from happening ever again.

I love this book.

I have read many books on the holocaust. This by far was one of the best written ones. The story line not only highlighted the cruelties of the holocaust but also did an excellent job of intertwining the characters and the many flaws that humans have.

This is another one of Albom¨s masterpieces. Could not let go till the end ......, all of them.
