So far the best self teaching guide in this language that I've encountered. Relies on repetition, not rote memorization.
Maya Belgnaoui explains how French related to the way English speakers would say things. This is rare, and tremendously helpful. I do want some theory, such as how is this verb conjugated, but that is easily available elsewhere to supplement this course.
I found this audible very helpful as I am a beginner French speaker and it was a great review of some of the more basic verbs like pouvoir, avoir and vouloir. It would also be helpful for beginners who want to grasp some of the basics before travelling.
There is a list of vocabulary for each story. You can look at that before beginning the story. There are some stretch vocabulary words, but on general, these stories will increase your confidence and fluency in reading without leaving the student frustrated or discouraged.
Great audible for get fluency and those words and phrases are really helpful for that. Reading is a terrific way to absorb how language works that's why i took this audible and got the result.

Learn French Like a Native is a fantastic supplement to learning French through the other methods. I miss so many of the "smaller" words, particularly prepositions and pronouns, and this has made is so much more clear in just listen one conversation, then role playing it.
