Unabridged Audiobook
Having listened to a few of this author's other books, I was disappointed with this one due to the outlandish, juvenile scenes that were inserted into the story at different points. Clark created some very believable characters here and basically a great plot but then brought in some ridiculous scenes which had no effect on the plot and seemed totally absurd - a man dressed in a squirrel suit?? Really? And the absurd unfolding resolution at the end which though it didn't turn out the way the author indicated it might, still brought another ludicrous aspect to the story; what a shame, one has to ask why his editors didn't step in. The narration was superb.
Good story—well written and good ending trajectory. Second book I have listened to by him and I appreciate his style and pace
A great listen! Fast moving yet a lot of detail that keeps one focused on different characters and circumstances. All Martin Clark’s books are great but this is the only one with strong female roles, a capturing story well told.
