Unabridged Audiobook
One of my all-time favorite historical books. I love books about strong women, who, persevere, stay the course, and succeed in the doing. At age 77 I look back on my college advisor in 1965 who told me I was not medical school material (however, I was on the Dean’s list) and that I should set my sights on being a high school biology teacher. He did not even suggest I aim at being a college professor. So I have great empathy for Miss Cust, and salute her for all her tenacity and endurance to finally find her rightful place in the veterinarian field of medicine.
