Unabridged Audiobook
It went on and on too long detailing the horrors of the torture, the nastiness of this woman, the horrible pain caused by her to her victims. it just got to be one after another; way too long and then boom all of a sudden it was the end of the trial couldn’t feel empathy for any of the characters somehow. I just feel irritated even at the victims for letting some things like this happen to them for so long and not run away or do something or expose her, even her children
Incredible narrator!
Yes, the daughter (sisterhood) were also victims, but my one fault with the book was that the question of "why didn't these girls do more to protect other, including themselves, after known deaths". I just have a hard time believing that grown women would let their kid sister(s) still live in that house, especially after 3 deaths. That question WASN'T EVEN ADDRESSED. Didn't any of them bear ANY responsibility whatsoever. Instead, they are almost held up as heroes.
Incredibly disturbing as it’s a true story. At times, I was sickened by the cruelty and shocked that many signs were missed . The narrator was very good
An interesting story, but a bit over extended. After a time, you’re almost numb to the insanity of it all with the repetition. Could’ve been a much shorter book with the same impact. We’ll done narration.
Intense, I’m still thinking about it and talking about it days after I finished. A truly horrible story written so well. This author knows how to put you right there seeing every little detail. This is my second book by Gregg Olsen, next please.
My heart is still beating hard!!! Unbelievable!!!
It’s unfortunate this is a true story. I live in Oregon and remember this horrific event. The narrator was one of the bests I’ve heard in awhile
Was hooked… couldn’t wait to get back to it every time I left it. Very interesting story. Highly recommend.
very twisted but a good story.
I am a true crime aficionado. I heard this story on a podcast and wanted to know the whole story. I lived in Washington State during the time this was going on.
Excellent, If you’re a true crime junky.
Didn’t want to hear the sorry but could not stop listening
One of my favorites! Heartbreaking story!
A little slow in the beginning but once the story gets going you can’t help but keep reading.
Kept me thinking of this every-time I wasn’t listening to it. Hard to hear the story but I couldn’t put it down.
