Unabridged Audiobook
I hated this book, but I 'toughed it out' and listened to the entire book. The author's voice, sooooooooooooo flat and monotone, she is doing a disservice to her own book. Curiously, her voice was much like her writing, lists of happenings, lists of what she learned at Harvard, lists and more lists....without much in the way of descriptors. At one point I wondered whether she was trying to emulate Hemingway, but her writing was in no way parallel. Yes, she's bright and oooh, a young woman at Harvard. So what? A zingy description of life at a City College in the Hinterlands would be more edifying and much more entertaining.
I just couldn’t get past the really dreadful narration by the author. Just horrible do better next time .
Well developed characters. Age appropriate and thoughtful.
