Unabridged Audiobook
This book kept me sitting in my car long after I reached work everyday. It took me on a journey from hilarious beginning to dark and thoughtful ending. Very satisfying. Only complaint is that I didn't want it to end.
I loved the movie, which didn't even do the book justice. The book has layers and symbolism. Yet, it can be read as a strange ride. I know I'll watch the movie again and read this book again. I had no idea Joe Hill was Stephen King's son! Figures. This morning I am starting Sleeping Beauties, which is written by Stephen King and another son, Owen. We shall see. Horns will always have a special place in my library of the mind.
This is a wonderful book. It gave me some twists that I didn't even expect coming, I am looking forward to hearing the next book by Joe Hill.
The premise was unique, so I thought I'd take a gamble. In some instances I lost. I would probably rate the first 7 CD's a 4 star since it kept me interesting and I had no idea where it was headed. I should have stopped there. The story took an even darker turn starting in Disc 8, pick up for a while and then went back down. By the time I got to disc 12 I was just listening to complete the task. I didn't even care what happened.
