Unabridged Audiobook
Great listen!
Interesting review of some big thinkers.
There is an incredibly big hole in this book that should be obvious. The axial age was driven by the global human population exceeding about 100 million people and we no longer can live in communities without rules for living together at different places around the world. I would like to think that these three sages-Socrates, Confucius, and Ashoka almost more than Buddha for Ashoka promulgated Buddhism. Without Constantinople, Christianity may still be an obscure religion as Jesus only preached for 42 months on the virtue of living thy neighbor. The narrator should speak slower on the people in Asia as I needed to listen multiple times to try to figure out the person being discussed.
