Unabridged Audiobook
very boring start, too much use of figurative speech. I almost quit listening but then it picked up pace. The last few chapters were so capturing I couldn't put my phone down. It left me wanting more, a lot of questions are left unanswered. I love suspense. Great read:-)
As someone else said , a slow start ... but in the end I felt like I knew and loved all the characters.the story is an intense, clever, psychological picture painted of a Ghanaian/Nigerian family , living in America , and for in the last chapters visiting Ghana. It’s also a strong story about love and about the question what influences love. The relations of the single family members are outlined so carefully and beautifully ... I found it artful. Several times rather figurative/ poetic speech. The way Andoh Adjoa reads it is just fantastic, I had to show this to some friends because I was so fascinated by her voice.
