Unabridged Audiobook
Sometimes it can be a toss up for me with high school romance. But this one is so well written. Also they are 18 and seniors so even better. Of course there is some toxicity and immaturity. They are young, we've all been there. I love seeing their progression though. Cassia is head over hills for this boy and doesn't understand where everything went wrong. I loved her ability to be honest and vulnerable with him about her feelings. Holden wasn't my favorite at first. It took me a bit to understand him. But once all the chips fell and came together he made so much more sense. I sympathized and then adored him after that. All of these factors made it such a real story that progressed so naturally. The narration for the audiobook depicted that as well.
Both narrators were perfect for this book and I really enjoyed their performance. I felt the emotions, the attraction, the tension between the characters and it was really great.
