Summary
Elliot: My career took focus in my life while trying to make a name for myself in a male dominated field. I kept my gender under wraps until I was able to let my expertise speak for itself. But I was knocked off my axis when I ran into Arden, the man I had compared all men to since our one night together. Now he was taken-by another man-a very dominant man.

Arden: The love I had for my man ran deep. But I'd never forgotten her. From the very beginning, Daimen and I agreed to our non-traditional life-two men loving one another until we found that woman we could claim as ours. Now, she was standing in front of me, unaware she was a marked woman.

Daimen: I had loved my best friend from an early age. The day Arden submitted to me, was a dream come true. That was until a sexy and sassy blonde entered our life and turned it upside down. I see something in her that scared me. But I would make her mine, mine and Arden's. Claiming hatred would follow us everywhere, Elliot fought us at every turn.

Will the three of us create our own unconventional happily ever after or will she leave us heartbroken?

Foundations was the first book I'd read by Leigh Lennon a few years ago, and I was instantly a fan! I enjoyed this "re-read" in the audiobook format. This book has steam, emotion, a little bit of suspense. Loved Arden, Damien and Elliot together, and the peripheral characters were great too. Narration was good - I always appreciate having the narrator gender match main characters.

I read Foundations years ago and I loved it then. Listening to it now just cemented what I first thought. I absolutely loved it. And Elliot is an alpha female through and through! I loved the beginning where Elliott first met Arden and Damien and all her dominance doing her work. Not to mention all the zingers and banter between them. I loved how Leigh Lennon tells a beautiful story of accepting who you are and loving who you love. Its even better in audiobook, you feel all their raw emotions and angst. I absolutely loved this story!

4.5 stars! Leigh Lennon does such an amazing job of writing interesting and dynamic multi partner romances. In this book, we have an established couple, Arden and Daimen. One might even call them a power couple, given their level of business success, as they work together heading up their architecture company. But before Arden and Damien, there was the hot and steamy anonymous one night between Arden and Elliot, a night that neither forgot, but both seemingly moved on from. Until Elliot shows up in Daimen and Arden’s offices as a candidate for a contract job with their firm. Elliot immediately recognizes Arden, but clearly he doesn’t seem to recognize her, so she pushes past it, determined to get this contract that will most definitely boost her career. Arden knew Elliot was the right person for the job before she walked in the door, he just needs to convince Daimen. He is also highly attracted to Elliot, and believes that she might be the woman they’ve been looking for to complete the threesome that they’ve been wanting to have come together, but Daimen isn’t quite so sure. A very difficult past relationship has Daimen on edge, and unwilling to jump on board with that part of the deal, and Elliot most definitely seems to rub him the wrong way - maybe because he’s so attracted to her as well. But he concedes on the job, and they are thrust into a working relationship. Arden is very flirty with Elliot. Even though she knows he is in a very committed relationship with Daimen, she is both intrigued and confused by his advances. She is also confounded as to how he could not remember their one night together, since she’s never been able to get it out of her head. But her professionalism wins out, and she brushes off his flirtations hoping to just be able to get the work done. Meanwhile, Arden is working hard to chip away at both Elliot and Daimen for what he just knows would be an amazing triad. But those past relationships come back to haunt them, and as they start to cave to their desires, things escalate on many different levels, adding unwanted drama, and drudging up old pain and heartbreak. As Daimen give in and he and Arden work to bring Elliot into their fold, the dynamic between them is so intriguing, not to mention the absolute chemistry. Each of these relationships on its own makes for an interesting story. Daimen and Arden are so incredibly in love, and honestly they’re just absolutely insatiable and completely prepared for anything, literally anywhere. They have great communication with each other, and the trust and devotion are deep. Elliot and Arden have a flirty and slightly lighter dynamic, while Elliot and Daimen are a little like oil and water, but mostly because they are really very alike, and they both have very strong personalities. When the three of them are together, it’s like an explosion of the best kind, their kinks and personalities just mesh and meld together like they were made for each other. But of course, nothing is without a bit of drama, and they definitely have some of that to overcome. In the end, their journey is quite a ride, and most definitely a roller coaster, sometimes with sketchy brakes, but they are ultimately so much better together as a unit. And the spice, oh my goodness the spice. So much, starting early, and just adding such a level of amazing heat to their relationships, absolutely loved it. The audiobook was great, the narration was well done and I enjoyed the nuance and emotion that the narrators brought to the characters. There was definitely a lot of depth to these characters and the relationships being forged, and the audiobook did a great job of really pulling out those feelings.

I absolutely loved this book when I read it when it was released but listening to it brought it all back to life again. I thought the narrators did a phenomenal job giving this book a three dimensional feel and I found first I could listen to the voices all day long and not want to stop. As well as the narrators adding the perfect amount of emotion to the characters I devoured this book in one sitting this weekend and holy heck it was hot and the narration brought a new level of steam to this one. This read had everything packed into it and once you get over the slow start the ride will be fast and deliver a great punch. Highly recommend

The book was just ok. Not sure if I was a fan of the narration. The storyline got better towards the end but it was too slow for me. And the sexy time was just ok.

Given that the general scenario is so unlikely, this was OK as a whole but the characters didn't really become real to me, That might be why the sex scenes seemed a bit flat also. The plot got a bit lost towards the end but it was an enjoyable listen.
