Unabridged Audiobook
This book was so good! I was so happy to find you a good vampire series. I can’t wait for book 2!
I have most definitely discovered my new favorite vampire romance! Forged in Blood is the first audiobook in Sadie Kincaid’s new Broken Bloodlines series, which is a dark Why Choose? vampire/bully romance. What’s better than one dark, sexy, and broody vampire? Why, four of them, of course. The world building in this book is fascinating, with various magical creatures existing in a college atmosphere with their own secret societies that they basically use to perpetuate their individual species. Ophelia, who believes herself to be human and knows nothing of the magical world, is thrown head first into this world by way of three gorgeous alpha vampire students (Axl, Xavier, and Malachi) and their equally gorgeous sire, professor Alexandros Drakos. And as bonds grow and relationships heat up, Ophelia discovers she’s a lot less human and much more supernatural than she could have ever dreamed… and in much more danger than she could have ever imagined as the last living member of her species. Things get very spicy and very dicey in this first audiobook of the series. And I cannot wait to see where the story goes, because something tells me we’ve only seen the tip of this iceberg. The narration is provided by what can only be described as a dream cast with June deBorahae as Ophelia, Joe Arden as Alexandros, Sean Masters as Axl, JF Harding as Malachi, Oscar Reyes as Xavier, and Maxine Mitchell as Nazeel. Each of these talented voice actors turn in incredibly impressive performances and bring this story to life beautifully. You won’t want to miss this one!
This book fully addressed the discussion that I've had (a few times) with some of my friends that also enjoy PNR and that is around: if you're
I listened to the audiobook version of this story and I'm so glad I did. I had been waiting for a good vampire story for a while and nothing had caught my eye until this one, even though I don't like bully romance. In fact, I avoid it like the plague most of the time but I had really been craving a vampire story so I took a chance. Patiently, I waited for the audiobook once it was announced because I just tend to enjoy audiobooks more. The way this story had me in a chokehold is insane! It was nearly impossible to put down. Every single aspect of the story fascinated me, the characters, the storyline, the romance, the spice, the emotions. The narration by June DeBorahae, Maxine Mitchell, Sean Masters, Joe Arden, J. F. Harding, and Oscar Reyes was pure perfection, enthralling, and masterful. Each and every one of them did an incredible job. But it was chapter 57 that blew my mind. Joe Arden's performance in this chapter was so captivating, so raw, and real that I could literally feel his pain as he narrated it. I literally sat there, mouth open, speechless, processing how amazing this chapter was narrated. If I could give it more than 5 stars I would. Out of 232 books I've read so far in 2024 this is by far the best one. I don't know how but I will be "patiently" waiting for the audiobooks of the next 2 installments of this story because I can't imagine experiencing this book any other way.
