Summary:

Sequel to Sticks & Stones
Cut & Run Series: Book Three

Special Agents Ty Grady and Zane Garrett are back on the job, settled into a personal and professional relationship built on fierce protectiveness and blistering passion. Now they're assigned to impersonate two members of an international smuggling ring-an out-and-proud married couple-on a Christmas cruise in the Caribbean. As their boss says, surely they'd rather kiss each other than be shot at, and he has no idea how right he is.

Portraying the wealthy criminals requires a particular change in attitude from Ty and Zane while dealing with the frustrating waiting game that is their assignment. As it begins to affect how they treat each other in private, they realize there's more to being partners than watching each other's backs, and when the case takes an unexpected turn and threatens Ty's life, he and Zane will have to navigate seas of white lies and stormy secrets, including some of their own.

This book must have been a real challenge to portray all the changes in accents. Not my most favorite book in the series. The plot is a bid shallow, with a lacking closure. The main characters don’t seem to have had much of a purpose for this case. Too heavy on steamy chapters

an amazing story premise with a terrible narrator. Zane sounds terrible. he sounds very sleazy. Ty loses his Appalachian accent. you can't tell the voices apart anymore. the original narrator wasn't the best but he did a good job portraying two broken Individuals. the original narrator made them both sound so tender. this new narrator makes them.both sound like stupid meat heads.

  • Sheri O.

Love the series but the narration was difficult for me due to his low tone and voice - very difficult to distinguish between Ty and Zane's voice.

  • Angel D.

This narrator is amazing! Excellent portrayal of Sidewinder (my 2nd time through his books - first time on audio). Very well done! This book includes a crucial turning point in this series.
