Unabridged Audiobook
I liked the premise of the story. A lot of phrases we repeated throughout the book, which pulled me out of the story a bit. I did sort of marathon the entire book during a work day so those things were very noticeable. The two that stood out the most to me were "stark comparison" and the ribcage being beat against like a drum. I wish the deranged acting coach had more character development/back story as well as the other loose ends (mom and the director). This is the first book I've read by this author, I'm sure the development comes as the series develops. The audio kept glitching for me. It was sort of comical after a while-it was as if the AI had chronically ill timed one off hiccups. There were some words mispronounced-which I guess isn't the end of the world. I do wish there was a little more attention to detail, not to mention it was mostly flat toned thorughout. I think a real life voice actor would have done right by this story. I know it's a cost, but I know it would've been much better.
Still prefer a human narrator. The finer nuances are simply lacking. Strange sharp, sheeplike "eh" sounds peppered in between - why? Mispronunciations... It's enough to not be able to just relax and enjoy the story.
the story line was good but the narrator was slightly monotone.
Enjoyed the book very much. Thank you.
it had to many interruptions with all about we're this book was made after each chapter
