Summary
From an extraordinary voice in fantasy comes the stunning conclusion to the Farseer trilogy, as FitzChivalry confronts his destiny as the catalyst who holds the fate of the kingdom of the Six Duchies...and the world itself.

King Shrewd is dead at the hands of his son Regal. As is Fitz-or so his enemies and friends believe. But with the help of his allies and his beast magic, he emerges from the grave, deeply scarred in body and soul. The kingdom also teeters toward ruin: Regal has plundered and abandoned the capital, while the rightful heir, Prince Verity, is lost to his mad quest-perhaps to death. Only Verity's return-or the heir his princess carries-can save the Six Duchies.

But Fitz will not wait. Driven by loss and bitter memories, he undertakes a quest: to kill Regal. The journey casts him into deep waters, as he discovers wild currents of magic within him-currents that will either drown him or make him something more than he was.

I read all the Farseer Books and I really liked that they are close to 40 hours. I much prefer long books that allow me to really immerse myself in the story. In fact I do not buy audio books that are less than 25 hours. The main character, Fitz, the assassin, is a disappointment to me. He is always apologizing for everything you can imagine. If you are looking for a strong main character in Fitz you will be disappointed as was I. And I got sick and tired of his pitiful obsession and stupidity with Molly, Molly, Molly, Molly. OMG I got tired of that. If you want an assassin who is politically correct then you might enjoy reading these books. My opinion is only an opinion. You need to decide for yourself. I read them all. So they are not terribly bad.

I live this book. I think it was the best of all three. I enjoy the man that read it so much. A must! listen to all of them you won’t be able to stop.

WOW..what an unexpected climax and conclusion. I'm sorry, I know this is fantasy but I never saw an ending like this coming. Which is all the more reason to check out this trilogy. I've loved it from the beginning of the first book to the end of this one. Mr. BOEHMER, you are a talent. Great job

Excellent Trilogy....sad it's over. I cant decide which character I loved best, Fitz or Night Eyes. Narrator was superb. I'll be looking for more Hobb books.

Great ending...I am often disappointed with trilogies. Assassin's Quest does not disappoint. I will be searching for more books narrated by Paul Boehmer.

The assassin trilogy is a favorite of mine. Robin Hobb is an amazing author. You will love Fitz. You will also be annoyed with him. But always love him and possibly love night eyes even more.
