A light read/listen that keeps the story fluid and interesting. I maybe biased as swordfights or that certain era arouses my interest. Im looking forward to enjoy the next book. I hope to see it in the big screen.

The book is really good I love how it's from the first person of the child. I loved something about it but I'm not going to say anything to ruin the story. It's awesome. The narrator does a fantastic job of telling the story and differentiating the different characters with different voices that really make the story come alive. I'm excited to hear the rest of the stories in this trilogy and even more excited to see that they have the same narrator for the second story; I've listened to a few series's that don't use the same narrator and there's some better ones and some worse ones, but the worst part is when you get "connected" to one and then have to listen to a different one.

Excellent listen. Well written and contains all elements young adult fiction should. I was expecting a quick wrap at the end of disc five. Until then books works well as a stand alone work, but totally agree with the author that the lives of many characters have become so complex that strikingly is required to follow them and the young kings transition into adulthood
