“I cannot wait to see where Del Toro and Hogan take us next.”
—James Rollins, New York Times bestselling author of Bloodline

The wait is over! Guillermo del Toro, one of Hollywood’s most popular and imaginative storytellers (Pan’s Labyrinth, Hellboy) and Hammett Award-winning thriller writer Chuck Hogan (Prince of Thieves) return with The Fall—the second blood-chilling volume in their critically acclaimed, New York Times bestselling Strain Trilogy. The Fall picks up where The Strain left off—with a vampiric infection spreading like wildfire across America as a small band of heroes struggles to save the dwindling human race from the vampire plague. Horror fiction and dark fantasy fans will be swept up in this epic story that bestselling author Nelson DeMille describes as “Bram Stoker meets Stephen King meets Michael Crichton.”

fantastic listen. the story is unique, and has mire depth than most vampire lore. the t.v. show is good, but if you want the whole story, you have to listen to the books.

Excellent delivery of the story from the writer to the narrator they deserve a standing ovation. Saw the "Strigoi" series and was fascinated. After reading the book. I desire more, more, more!!! lol. Give it read, and you'll become invested in each character, and when it ends, heartbreak will be present.

The terror continues to mount as the Master tightens his grip on New York and the world! While the narrator is not Ron Perlman this time around, he is very good and sounds quite a bit like Perlman. If you like edge of your seat horror, this book is for you!

I enjoy the TV show however the book fills in what is missing. I find that the narrator can make the book worth listing to, and this narrator makes the book worth listing to. The deep richness of his voice, the tempo all makes you believe he is telling the story.
